What are core components?

Last Updated: Jan 08, 2015 02:03PM PST
Core components are program characteristics that must be kept intact when the intervention is being replicated or adapted in order for it to produce program outcomes similar to those demonstrated in the original evaluation research. Core components are organized into three categories: content, pedagogy and implementation. See the adaptation guidelines for the EBPs you’re interested in for more information. These can be found under Programs, on the "Adaptation Guidelines & Tools" tab on the pages that describe each EBP.
